SEX, I'M A...
A STREET CAR NAMED DESIRE
Everywhere you look, there is sex, from billboards to television shows to songs (Partition sung by Beyoncé is a song about sexual exhibitionism). I am sure for us 80's kids, you may remember the super-hot movie 9 ½ Weeks, Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger made honey look so body delicious. This movie was ground-breaking because two characters were engaging in sex like we had never seen before on the big screen, and it left us wondering if there was another world of sex yet to be explored. My favorite scene (yes, I actually have one) was when John (Mickey Rourke) had Elizabeth (Kim Basinger) dress up as a man, and they had this incredibly passionate sex in a dark alley in the rain. Exhibitionism is nothing new, engaging in sex or sexual play in a car, lover's lane, ring any bells? A case study in 2013 revealed that 50 women were asked would they have sex in public, and 30 said that they would not, because they considered that taboo. I wonder if the same poll were posed to men what would that number be. I am sure that all 50 men would have said yes, have sex in public, and absolutely disagree that it is taboo. Years past, women were a bit shy and timid in public settings when engaging in some form of sexual play, however, fast forward to the present now more and more women are finding that there is a deep gratification and exhilarating thrill that comes from engaging in sex in public. Fast forward to the year 2022, is this the year of letting go of inhibitions for women? I think so, women, especially with the rise of celebrity women like Cardi B featuring Megan Thee Stallion rapping about WAP ( Wet, Ass P*$ssy), and taking their place in the sexual spotlight long since held by men. It’s not a revolution or a feminist movement, but rather a way to express and expose their inner naughty girl. Never underestimate the seductive power of the backseat, office closet, or even a parking garage, because chances are you will be unable to resist.
AFTERGLOW ADDICTION
Taboo sexual intercourse can be a powerful stimulant creating a euphoric experience. The body produces chemicals like testosterone, which fuels sexual drive and aggression. It is essential to your libido and sexual arousal, and my favorite is adrenaline (also known as epinephrine), during intercourse, increased amounts of adrenaline are released from the adrenal glands. This chemical amplifies the circulatory system with each heart contraction. Who needs drugs when you have natural chemicals that the body produces to get you naturally high when in the act of sex. Engaging in taboo sex amplifies the sexual experience, and can be addictive. Sex can be enjoyed in many ways, foreplay which can include oral sex, missionary, or even from behind (doggy-style), but no matter which way you choose there will always be new areas to explore. What may be taboo to some may not be to you, so listen to your inner desires, and don't be afraid to try something that would be considered naughty. After all, isn't it more fun to let our fantasies become our sexual reality? Enjoy!
Good girls do not engage in sexual naughty things, and if they do, they don't tell. Is it more important to keep up a façade about being innocent in bed? On the other hand, are women ready to come out of the “sexual closet” and expose their dirtiest desires to the world? Sexual taboo exploration is nothing new (sorry 50 Shades of Grey), but both women and men have been dipping into the secret underworld pool of taboo sex long before a little book exposed “itself”. Sex and pleasure go hand-in-hand (pun intended), we explore the topics of sex and what "society" says is taboo, dirty, and dangerous. Sexploration is all about opening up to various levels of taboo play: BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism, masochism), swinging, and exhibitionism.
TIE ME UP, TIE ME DOWN
For those that like to venture off the beaten path of “good-behavior” sex, there is BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism) lifestyle; certain pleasures can be derived from this type of taboo sex play. Unlike the usual "power neutral" relationships and play styles commonly followed by couples, activities, and relationships within a BDSM context are often characterized by the participants taking on complementary, but unequal roles; thus, the idea of a master (dominate) and slave (passive) of both the partners becomes essential to the sexual play. The Kama Sutra can be considered one of the first written resources dealing with sadomasochistic activities and safety rules. This text collection explicitly emphasizes the impact-play of biting, spanking, and pinching during sexual activities and can be pleasurable if done properly. For people looking to explore this side of the forbidden, follow these simple rules for safe and enjoyable sex play:
Establish your role (dominate or submissive)
Have safety words (words used to let your partner know that things are becoming too intense or to stop)
Use objects that will enhance your sexual experience (riding crop, cat-o-nine tales, feathers, etc.)
Always talk about your fantasies before sexual play begins
Sexual pleasure doesn't have to always be about the physical, with BDSM there is also the mental (vanilla masochism or better known as verbal dominance), so when engaging in this taboo know your boundaries, and explore beyond them, because you may find that you just might like it.
